Heidelberg Restaurant & Tavern, Heidelberg, ONT, Canada

On our last full day in Mississauga (near Toronto), our friends took us to the town of St. Jacobs and then to the Heidelberg Restaurant and Tavern for lunch, because the tavern brews their own beer.  The tavern has been in business for more than 150 years!  They brew only one beer, which is amber in color and is a Bavarian Lager.  They call it House Draught.  The beer is excellent.  Their food specialty is pork hocks and pig tails.  The food we had was very good.  The place is not fancy, but it is understandably very popular, and well worth a visit.  The day we were there they had actually run out of sauerkraut, which was too bad because we would have enjoyed trying authentic German sauerkraut.

They have a website you can visit:  http://www.oldhh.com

There are more photos in the album.
