Ram Restaurant & Brewery, Indianapolis, IN

Ram is located in the heart of downtown Indianapolis, in a district with a lot of bars, restaurants and nightlife.  Ram was established in 1971, as a restaurant and tavern.  In 1995 they established Big Horn Brewing Company to brew their own ales, a task they have accomplished with great success.  They have won many medals for their brews.

The Ram has an outdoor patio on the street, a large bar room with plenty of tables, as well as a large dining room suitable for family dining.  They pay a lot of attention to detail.  You see that in their beer and food, as well as their decorating.  Our server was pleasant, attentive, and knowledgeable.

We ordered their beer sampler which included 6 regular beers, plus samples of the four seasonal beers they had on tap.  The beers and the food were both excellent.

The time has passed when we might remember which of the beers we liked best.  But it really doesn’t matter because they were all good and we enjoyed our visit.  The Ram is worth visiting when you are in Indianapolis even if you are not a beer drinker.
