El Paso Zoo, El Paso, TX

The El Paso Zoo is located on Piedras Street, directly across from the coliseum.  It usually takes 2-3 hours to see all the exhibits, plus there are multiple locations where children can do hands-on learning.  The zoo is not large, but they have some very nice exhibits, and some animals that were unfamiliar to us.  We visited in the afternoon, and the temperatures were perfect for enjoying the day.  Photos of some of the more interesting animals are in the photo album.  A positive aspect to the zoo is that it provides a home for many endangered animals.

You can find more information about the zoo at their website: http://www.elpasozoo.org.

These zebras (below) seem to enjoy lining up, as did the ones we saw in Durban, South Africa
